Another 3.2 motronic question

I'm still not sure on what to do with this nipple coming out of the back of the throttle body. One side has a line that loops back. Where does the other side connect to? I currently just ran a hose over it and plugged it.

There are two lines comming out of the back of that thing. The first pic, I have that line taken care off. Your second pic showes the other line trailing off next to the heat shroud. Where did it go?

Thumbs up

I have an '86. That port is connected to the air valve shown in the picture. The valve is right next to the oil tank. Let me know if you need more help with routing the lines.

Does anyone know what the air valve does?

I *think* I know how it works, not sure on the 'why' part... I took note of that part when I found the vacuum line laying along the firewall. I hooked it up and then the air valve started singing (a bad one I guess)...
So the thermo valve on the throttle body ports vacuum to the air valve when the engine is cold. The air valve opens up and connects a circuit from the oil tank (crank case fumes?) through a PCV valve to the throttle body. It looks like a PCV valve that only works when the engine is cold... Anyone else have some insight?

That's a good question. I too have an '86 engine but I'm using a '77 oil tank. I simply have that port blocked off.
