Too hot SC!
Just taken delivery of a 1978 SC with the automatic heating dial between the seats. All I get tho is hot air coming through,
even with dial set at '0'. Friend said it was a sticking valve - can anyone help please? |

sounds like your flapper boxes are stuck open probably from a broken cable or rust on the box.
Jack up the car, look above the starter and you will see the box. have someone operate the control and see what is happening. Hopefully you dont have auto heat controller problems as those parts are alittle hard to find. There is also a box on the left side in the same location. If you need new flappers, Stoddard Porsche has them in stock... OEM.. for less than the aftermarket. The ones our host sells wont work with Auto heat. I just replaced mine. It was a B**** but made a difference.
