Did it----1st engine drop
I really wanted to go to Hershey again but had other pending issues like my first engine drop. Wasn't to bad to do. Took my time. Didn't set any records but its out and I still have all my fingers attached---LOL.
![]() ![]() Again I have to thank everyone on this BBS. I did a search first to find out all the different ideas that you guys have for engine drops. Then I jumped right in. Thanks again.

krd,
It's just a ATV jack. It worked out pretty good. Hey John, Thanks for the compliment. Its a 2.7 with a little bit of clean up. But now that the engine is out I'll probably do a litt;e bit more. It'll have to do for now but someday would like a 3.2 or a 3.6. Yahoo!!!

Awesome...now that you've done it that way, don't wait too long to buy yourself a scissor lift etc. It's worth the investment!

So the rear ramps gave you enough clearance to drop the engine without removing the bumper ... sweet. Was it tight up front? Meaning, was the front valance close to the ground?

mca,
The ramps were not high enough to do the job. I actually had the car a little lower so the engine was level. Got it on the jack and lowered it to the floor and then had to raise the car again so everything would clear the bumper and valance. I put the car on the ramps when I was done, they give me added security.
