1972 Porsche 911 Tachometer not working
I have a 1972 Porsche 911 that the tachometer is not working. Where can I find information to determine if the tachometer is working or if the wiring is faulty? The motor was replaced with a 2.7 for a 2.4 before I purchased this Porsche. Therefor all of the wiring doesn't match the electronic schematic.

If it worked before then check all the wires in the engine compartment and make sure that none have fallen off. Pull the tack out of the dash (grab and pull towards the steering wheel) and make sure all the wires are attached.
Usually, the tach just quits working. North Hollywood Speedometer has repaired several for me with a quick turn around time. When I upgraded my 73 from a 2.4 to a 3.2, I sent them my tach to have it converted for use with the 3.2 It was back in 1 day.
