I made a bad axle choice, recommendations?

I have a 72 (930 body) and 77 911 - both track only. I purchased a 930 short transaxle and had them put on 911 axle output flanges when the transaxle was rebuilt with a lsd, my thinking was, I can save the axles I have. The engine is over 400hp and over 400tq thats going to be mated to the 930 transaxle. This drivetrain will be transplanted between the two cars. Seems like the 72 and 77 911 have different axle specs. So, what should I do? Upgrade the hubs on the 72 to match the 77? Change the output flanges on the transaxle ( expensive also to tear the tranny down ). Get custom axles? Realize I should have gone with the 930 axles to start as I may have too much power for the 911 axles.I sure wish I thought that out better. Recommendations please. Limited budget is the path I prefer to take.
Picture of the 72 since everyone likes pictures.

930 halfshafts won't fit on SC as they are too short. 930 trailing arms have different dimensions and 930 CV's have bigger diameter.

So in order to fit 930 tranny into SC chassis, one must use Carrera halfshafts. They have same CV diameter as 930 CV's and are long enough to fit into SC arms.

Dunno about 72' trailing arms.

Swap the stub axle /flange in the trailing arm. You probably want the 108mm (larger diameter) flange. However, just make sure they are the same as your tranny output flanges.

jpnovack, thats what I thought, you mean make the 72 like the 77, since I probably have the later output shafts installed on the transaxle.

beepbeep I only found out later that I could use a different axle, thats after I had made the change to the 930 output flanges,
