Ambient air valve vacuum hose help
I am in need better photo or description of the port where the ambient air valve vacuum hose connects up to the back of intake. I found this photo on Pelican. On my 1985 Carrera the hose from the ambient air valve to the intake was knocked loose when I was replacing the leaking oil pressure switch. While I was in there I replaced the two oil vent hoses from the oil tank to the engine. Just after I got the air cleaner snapped back into place I noticed this hose was disconnected.
In the photo the hose is on the lower port. On my engine it feels like the hose came off of the upper side. Does that matter at all? This photo does not show it very well. My problem is of course I can't see what I am doing, it is all by feel. I tried to get it on last night and all I accomplished was frustration. I need some kid with small hands to reach around and reconnect the hose. Since I don't have any kids I will have to get it done myself. I hope whoever I stole this photo from does not mind. ![]()

I got it!
For those that care you can actually see the port for the hoses if you look over the top left side between the heater blower use a mirror. I had to twist my hand into an uncomfortable position but I got it on. Yea.
