CIS Vacuum hose sizes
Hello -
Quick question regarding the vacuum hose sizes for CIS - I've got easy access w/my engine out and am planning to replace them all. PET lists some sizes - namely 3.2mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm & 9mm. The Pelican catalog lists 3.5mm, 5mm, 7mm and 9mm etc... Am I splitting hairs by fretting over replacing the 3.2mm w/3.5mm and 4.5mm w/5mm? How necessary is an EXACT fit? Will .5mm make that much of a difference? Thanks, Tom

Just go to your local VW dealer and buy some vacuum hose at $10/meter. Its the same black braided stuff. I replaced mine and the engine was a lot better... when it was running

Just priced this stuff @ the dealer: $8CDN a foot! Local VW dealer wanted $7.50! NAPA: 60c for unbraided.
