Missing camshaft housing nuts/washers on rebuild
Hi All,
I'm knee deep in a rebuild of a 2.7RS spec motor for my 914. I'm doing the head/camshaft housing install, and have come up short a couple of M8 nuts and the "springy" (not flat) washers that hold the camshaft housing to the heads. Can I just use generic self-locking M8 nuts with regular flat washers in two or three spots, or do I need to source the "proper" parts??? Jaybird's official 2.7 rebuild thread |
