Wheel Bearing Mahem Prt 2 - History Detectives

So what killed my wheel bearing? I don't race the car or even drive it that hard. Haven't hit any curbs, etc.

Now I think I know:

I'll be interested to see what the other side looks like, and will post the results. If the parking brake shoe is intact on that side, I'll do an experiment and replace the parking brake components but not the bearing and see how far I go. Unless the wisdom of the Pelicans dictate that it couldn't have been the disintegration of the parking brake shoe that caused the bearings to fail.

I would not think it would be the parking brake unless you see signs of contamination in the grease.

If you have the wrong offset wheels on your car to get a widebody look with narrow body control arms the uneven and totally wrong offset loading on the wheel bearings will kill them.

I'm not saying thats what happened to yours because I don't know how it's set up.

Could be. I was running Gotti's with spacers, guess I'll go back to the Ruff's without spacers.

Exactly. I'm not sure there are any 911 rear wheel bearings that will last forever.
