Compression Leakdown

I'm looking at a 93 964 with 70,000miles on it. Compression shows 142-150psi on all cylinders. Leakdown shows less than 10% on all cylinders. Slight leak in head gasket. Shop reports says leak may be from car sitting in storage for the past 4-5 months. Also, the leakdown may be even better if the car had some recent drive time on it. Numbers seem good to me. Any reason to think otherwise?

How much under 10%?

Did the mechanic listen to where it was 'leaking'? (intake/exhaust/case vent)

I interpret the mechanics statement to mean he has a leak at the top of one cylinder. Is this correct? If so did he check the studs?

I assumed area around head shows sign of leakage. It shouldn't leak air at only 100lb air pressure.

Sorry, just looked at the actual sheet. stated, "slight seapage at valve covers". This was listed under engine inspection. Not mentioned in conjunction with the leakdown.
I'm trying to find out the actual %'s per cylinder. I'm assuming that if it's listed at under 10% that one must be close to or is 9%. From what I read online up to 10% is still okay, but the actuals would be helpful. No mention in the report as to where the leak was coming from.
The car is 5 hours from me and the leakdown was done 3 weeks ago. I'm trying to get more info to date, but they are looking at the same service invoice I am.

Who did the PPI? Seller? Another Buyer?

Seepage at valve covers is probably oil, it would not be a result of the leakdown...

You're not getting a complete analysis.

Independent garage did the PPI that another buyer had requested 2 weeks ago. I talked to guy who did the leakdown and he said that each cylinder was under 10%. Since it's within spec, the indiv. numbers recorded. I asked why and he said unless requested by the indiv., if it's within spec. that is what is most people are concerned about. Under 10% is the numbers he got from the leakdown. Everything i've read shows that under 10% is very good. The test drive he did said the engine runs strong and mechanically everything checked out. Oil was clean and nothing showed him any concern.
A little oil seapage from the valve covers is not a big concern I gather. If my 85 doesn't have a little leak I get concerned....lol

So, why did the other buyer back out?

Pay for another PPI and request that the head studs are not just looked at but torque-checked. Plus request specific numbers in writing, not just verbal.
