1970-1971 901/01 transmission pull type

Alright i finally have just about everything figured out on the car, but now i cant figure out\understand how to install the clutch cable to the clutch fork. I cant seem to make sense as to what its suppose to do. Does anyone have any pictures or any info that could help me. I know that its not the same setup as a 915 trans so how does it go? any info would help.
thanks

I don't have a picture and I could not find a PET diagram to show. So, I'll try to explain. There are four bolts that hold the transmission to the engine. The bolt that is next to the fork is the one were concerned about. On the transmission itself ( on the engine side next to the bolt) there should be an eyelet casting that the clutch cable goes through. This eyelet acts as a backing to give the clutch cable tension. On my transmission, the eyelet was broken off. I had to weld up a couple pieces of metal that attached to the transmission bolt to serve as the eyelet. I'm pulling my car out tomorrow to do some work so I'll take a picture and post. It's possible your eyelet is broken which causes confusion when you go to hook up the clutch.

If you don't have PET or a workshop manual you can go to dc automotive website and go to 70-73 911, pedal systems, then illustration 702-00 upper right. It's a little fuzzy but you should get the relationship of the parts. I found that having the cable detached at the pedal end made it much easier to work with. Also, the cable has a sheath which must be pressed fully over the tube coming out of the tunnel. This sheath should then lay within a u bracket attached to the tranny. The cable then passes rearward and through the cast eyelet mentioned in previous post. This is directly under the cv. Cable with 2 adjusting nuts then passes through "articulating piece" which hooks onto fork, through small rubber boot, then through another smaller eyelet. A slotted nipple is then attached to the end of the cable. Make adjustments so as to be able to reattach cable at pedal. Make final adjustments.
If the "articulated piece" is plastic you should replace it with a metal one. I believe Pelican carries them. This clutch system is sensitive to adjustments. Get them right.
After rereading above please note that the adjusting nuts do not pass through the
"articulating piece." They butt up against it.
Good luck.
