17" wheel options for SC/3.2?

Looking at tires I would love to run Nitto's but would need 17" rims.

Are there any reasonably priced 17" rim choices for a 3.2 911 that are strong enough to race /street that make any sense?

I do not want to pay $2500 for a set of rims.

The Fox Rotos look nice but I question there weight and strength.

Thought of Cup II's but not my favorite look nor wish to play w longer studs and spacers.

Anything I am missing?

There are a bunch of guys who run the Rotas on the track. Granted they've had them for only a year or so, but no one's reported any failures, yet. There are a lot of cumulative track days between the lot of them. Some of those guys are pretty quick, too. That being said, admittedly on paper the Rotas are pretty much made in the least technologically advanced manner around.

Will consider them and I am not over concerned with the strength.

However, I suspect they are on the heavy side. Thinking about 22/3 lbs per wheel?

They do look proper.

Thx

They are not as heavy as you think. I forget the weights. Mine still look pretty. They sell them right here at pelicanparts.com

I thought there I was going to feel the weight but that didn't happen. Much more stick with more rubber on the road and ride improved enough for the wife to notice it being better.

The 9's

The 7.5's

For track use you'll want 8 & 9.5 x17 ET25-31 & ET19

Back in the day you had to use 235 or 245 & 275 to get enough grip.

W/ modern DoT R gumballs that's not needed unless the hp has gone way up from stock. Most wil be happy w/ 225 or 235 and 255 or maybe 265 on the above wheels.

I've dialed mine back to 225/255 on the above wheels and couldn't be happier.

On the 993 same weight, little wider rear wheel(10) I use 225 & 265 and have been happy, might lile to try 235 or 245/275 or 285 but you have to go to Hoosier Rs to get the correct aspect ratios, the commonly available street tires aren't made w/ the desired aspect ratios
