What was the last year that the model designation, i.e. "911T", appeared on the glovebox? I just read that 1970 was the last year... but my 1971 T has the script. Is it definitely a replacement dash or aftermarket modification?

My 71 has 911T on the dash. I'm pretty sure it's original.

71 was the last year of the gove box badge. When the got rid of the basketweave is when they stopped the inside badge.

FWIW, glovebox doors through '73 have the holes behind the fabric that will accept the badge, but I think, as stated, that 1971 was the last time they did it. I put it on my '72 because I thought (at one time) that it looked cool.

Judging by all of your responses, it sounds like I'm safe. That's great news. Thank you. I really like the way the script looks, but I also like to keep my cars as stock as possible too. I was worried I was gonna have to remove it.
