Kunstharzlack (paint code) question???

Hey all,

The paint code plaque on my '72 T (that's entitled "Kunstharzlack") shows a paint code of "025-9-1". From what I've been able to find I know the "025" is the exterior color "Aubergine". My question is; does anyone know what the "9" and the "1" stand for???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are the "9" and the "1" just part of the paint code or are they a code for something else like interior color, carpet color or???

Any ideas?

Paint manufacturer and something else, either the paint type or the body manufacturer, I can't remember which.

Nothing to do with the interior color.

xxx = paint code

y = factory
8 = ??? perhaps Karmann or other coach factory
9 = Porsche factory

z = paint supplier
1 is for Lesonal
2 is for Glasurit
