What medication can cure this????

Am a surgeon but don't know of any.

Surely one exists.

I take comfort in knowing that what I have seems to be frequently diagnosed in these forums:

The disease is :
"The-car-is-fine-but-missing-something-itis"

So I am thinking that the car should be repainted to its original silver (1971T). Everything on it is redone (more or less).

The question is, should it be repainted silver (and if so may I see some pics)

Should I ad some lettering or decals (like P O R S C H E) on the doors,

Should I chose another color?

Mags anondized vs chrome?

In the operating room decisions are fairly straight forward most of the time. I get to the porsche and I believe the analogy would be that of a schoolboy deciding on asking his first date out ieon't want to make a mistake, don't want to lose an opportunity for something good.

Any advice is warranted and surely helpful.

Thanks

Andreas

The only cure is to buy another one so you can properly compare the two.

Find a light-colored one, maybe a coupe, with different wheels. Drive them both then decide what needs to be different. On the third car.

When you have separate cars for each day of the week, you will find the cure.

Polish the petals on the Fuchs, with the black outline around them. That will give you the thing that is missing for the period look.

If you want to do the side decals, and even a set of stripes up the hood, have at, but do it a stage at a time. Vinyl of course can be removed if it doesn't strike your fancy.

I would paint the car silver as a last resort, but I can tell you right now that I m a sucker for a silver targa. Do the wheels. I think that is the ticket.

Do not chrome the Fuchs as it becomes devalued and structurally weaker imo. Polish, etc is a personal option. Many pelicanheads have beautiful trick Fuchs that have been posted.

Original color maintains value and silver is a decent look but again it's a personal choice.

silver
and polished rims.

Me like!

Now I just have to figure out an excuse to get the car out of the house for the time it needs to be stripped and painted, and an even better one for why it changed color...

Did make the mistake of marrying a women who is smarter than me, so my work is cut out for me!

new environmental black paints eventually fade to a non-descript color

I hope there is no medicine for the problem. I have been afflicted for the largest part of my life. I plan to continue my addiction until death do us part.

Someone on here has in their tag line something about a heroin addiction being easier to handle. Or something like that.

Cool car. And my vote is polished pedals. And silver paint.

I love that too. It's more like" Heroin would've been a cheaper addiction" I can't remember who though.

Gratuitous self promotion of my 911T

washed her

waxed her

she looks nice,

but i do think changing her color will give it that extra "i wont ever cheat on her look".

please note what my youngest daughter is holding. That's right, dolls are ok but a wooden toy car, now that's where its at!!!

Used to own one.
No doubt-only reasonable course of action is polished petal Fuchs in 15" diameter, silver would be good (mine personal preference is for an oxblood red interior)
