915 row oil pump

Hello forum,

I was carefully remove the oil cooler side plate from my 915 to inspect the R&P.
After that I was have the feeling that the teeths from the side cover (steel) can hit the diff teeths (aluminium) if I close the side cover Is any trick to do this and I hope Bill V. to chime in!

And one more question guys : I have a 1982 915 (SC) ZF lsd to put in but there is no place to mount the diff gear on the ZF ???
