Are you sure that's the '86 paint code? Typically, it is a 3-digit code. Could be special order?

anyone else have any ideas? it's a really dark blue (almost looks black in the shade). thanks again, ray |
What is the paint code that is on the label or the badge?
The K5K5 is marketingspeak and is not very useful. |
Hi Ray,
I know I'm picking up a really old thread here, but did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have a 1985 930 Turbo (UK Spec RHD) and Porsche are telling me K5K5 paint code was the color from factory.. It's currently Dunkel Blue, but I think it's been resprayed - Is it in fact special order Mexico blue, or is K5K5 Dunkel from the 1985 period? |
K5K5 was the dealer order code for Dark Blue on a coupe - K5V9 was for a Cabriolet with a Black top- K5V8 was a Cabriolet with a Blue top

Thanks a lot.. Great help!
