Weirdo Speedo

Hey guys my speedo is acting pretty weird.

At a stand still the speedo is at zero, as I pull away, it stays at zero, then around 15mph, it surges up to 15, then works normally...any suggestions???

Thanks

MJ

Your speedo is probably sticking. I have the same problem with my tach. What I do is just tap the gauge. The only way I can think of permanently fixing it is to disassemble the speedo and clean it up. Good luck!

I had the same problem with my Rev. counter, just took the glass out, sprayed in a light oil (GT90 in the UK, dont know for the states) and no problems. This was a year ago and still going strong

Had the same with the tach.

Opened it, cleaned it, applied a bit of new (thin) grease.
Worked for about a year perfectly. This winter, below 10°C, the problem is back

The spare tach I have starts with the same symptoms now...
