Quick way to remove fan belt nut!
After checking points gap leave the socket wrench on the fan belt nut and go crank the engine.

Thats makes two of us! I had left a breaker bar on mine and it hid the body of the car, luckily only making a tiny paint chip!

the sad thing is i heard the rap of the handle hitting the sheet metal and i thought "not a good sound" but did not connect it with the ratchet. took a second to click.
fortunately i recently purchased the fan belt tool and got it tightened back up nicely!
