Can somebody post an exploded view of the CIS fuel distributor? The PET shows it as one piece. I'm trying to determine if there is a seal in the shaft housing. There's a groove aound the circumference about 3/4" into the housing. I assume it's just an air seal because if there was anything in there I don't think the needle would "float" the way it needs to.

there is no seal, just a machined tolerance so small that fuel won't pass over it.

Unless you really know what you are doing, this is someting you need to leave alone. If you are trying to get your plunger free, check these threads (and get really confused): CIS Fuel Distributor plunger stuck CIS Fuel Distributor .. help! CIS plunger stuck CIS Control Pressure Plunger & Cold Starts If you really want to "dive in", this thread is informative: CIS fuel distributer cleanout w/pics. Again, the likelyhood is that you will make things worse.
