Diary of a 964 Turbo: Fresno to Vancouver

I'm attempting to buy a 964 Turbo out of Fresno. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this one booting around.

Ben

Wow, an answer in 5 min. I love Pelican Forums.

Thanks Rodney. I'm getting the VIN, and some more pics from the owner before sending it in for a PPI. I'd love for a fellow Pelican to check it out as well.

If it works out, the 964 Turbo will be a garage mate to my Widebody SC

No problem Ben...
Me and a fellow Pelican in Fresno know what to look for on these cars and would be glad to help!

If you need a recommendation on the PPI here in Fresno, let me know.

I've had PPI recommendations for Arcaines and Tony Sportelli. Please chime in.

Also in Fresno

Hello,

I am the other one here in Fresno and friends with Cl8ton aka. Rod. We would be glad to help.

Let us know what else we can do. We both own 87-930's.

Talk with you soon.

Bryan

I did not realize that there are so many of us Fresnians here. Looks like your well covered.
I have not seen that car before, and I have a keen "Porsche Radar"

Hello Bryan and Chad. Amazing how it takes a Canuck, looking for a Porsche to get the "Fresnian's" together.

The person who is selling the 964 has been notoriously slow at getting info to me. I'll contact you guys when I'm more certain about a purchase.

Perhaps I'll fly down for a cup of coffee with the locals, and to pick up my new ride.

Ben

Whats the vin #? I can run it through our database here at work and see if the car has ever been in here. One of our customers "had" one of those and sold it some time back after it got wrecked. I would be curious if that particular car made it back on the road again. You can PM me if you don't want to post the vin# in public.

Thanks for the offer Syncroid. This is a one owner car ... hopefully he's telling the truth. I'm going the run the VIN through CARFAX as soon as he gets the info to me.

Hey Bryan,

Cool, thanks! I work some messed up hours. Maybe we can do coffee or something sometime. Maybe a cigar after work.

For scotch and cigars can I join the party? I can attest that the 964 looks like it is black. Glad I can bring something to the table.
