I can't get my distributor to budge so I can adjust the timing. I've loosened the 13mm nut. There seems to be another long bolt that perhaps attaches the adjustment bracket to the distributor. Do I need to remove that, too?
Any tricks for getting this stuck thing to move, without destroying it? The car is a 67S. Thanks fo any help!

David,
With the 13mm nut loose, you can use a small socket to loosen that bolt a bit to allow rotation,... ![]()

Thanks for the advice, Steve, but I still can't move it. I found that smaller bolt was already pretty loose before I even loosened the 13mm nut.
What purpose does the smaller bolt serve, anyway?
