Good aftermarket black side mirrors for mid 80's look car?

Title pretty much says it all. I have a 72 Targa tub with 85 Euro body pannels with duck tail and RS front and rear bumpers. The 85 mirrors are on both sides now and would like to go to some black, lightweight and more retro-looking (early 70's - not aero) mirrors that would bolt-on and cover (glue mount?) over the flag mirror mouting areas. Any ideas?

TIA,

Scott

Sebring in black plastic housings have base that will cover 2 of the 3 holes. Suggest a thin curved piece of metal painted body color so you can place the mirror right and cover all three holes. then you can look at other options like Talbot and Vitaloni

do a google search using the names above to find something you might like

Do you have a make? It looks like the Vitaloni, but I can't find ones with a base.

Vitaloni Sebring Mach 1, they don't come with a base you have to make one.

Here's the difference from the back as to the flag versus the Mach 1.

Gabriel, I had not seen a picture of Blackbird in a while. That car is sick. Nice job!

I didn't actually have plates made, my holes were welded up and I just mounted the mirrors to the body.

For the base plates that i've seen others make, you can trace out the bottom of the mirror and cut out a 1/2" thick section of rubber or urethane material.

I love the Vitaloni Sebrings... they are pretty much synonymous with Porsche racing in the 70's

Put them on my 934 replica and 914/6 project.

You can get them here, priced pretty reasonably
