How to keep the "boot" down?

I have a 84 911 Cab. Is there a way to keep the boot from flapping around at speed without putting the rear seats up?

Isn't there an aftermarket mesh screen that sits just aft of the front seats? Idea is to buffet the wind from rolling back on the driver and passenger. I seem to remember seeing this in a Beemer 2-seater, and can't imagine it is not available for our cars.

Mine has some stretched out rubberized cords that are supposed to keep it from flapping...but they don't. So the seats are up...can't move them now anyways...roll bar in the way.

Same here, Mike. I have two stretched-out cords, too. Alas, no rollbar, but it's on my wishlist!

Perhaps some creative (not to mention economical!) engineering in replacing those straps is needed. Then again, would that still be enough to hold it down at speed? Hmmm....

i've got the mesh screen. there are two holes near the speakers fitted with plastic grommets that it fits into. it is a well made piece but is awkward to put in place. i have to believe it is aftermarket because it isn't listed on the sticker(i bought the car used) the whole piece was new in the packaging and the holes were drilled for the grommets. i dont have directions(which i would love) but will check the screen for a manufacturer or part number and post later this week.

Thanks guy, I do have an after market Wind Baffle. It cuts down the turbulence, but the boot and the rear seat cover still want to take off.

Nice car! ( mine is an '84 too!) My boot has two straps located at each corner. the strap is not strechy, just fabric with a hooh on the end. The hook attaches to a ring at the "crotch" where the side, seat back and back meet. It works just perfactly with both rear seats down. I can not tell if it is OEM or just a good idea
