Trans rebuild-Where?-speedo converting?

Those in the know-Tex,
I'm about to have an aluminum 915 rebuilt, but don't know the 'Best @ economical'
place to send it to.I'm going for the LSD while their in there.
Also; is it possible to have an alum.elec.module type 915 converted to run mechanical
speedo? I have all wiring for the module type, but if I can go around it another way, I will in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your brains............RsC

Never mind about the speedometer converting, I just talked to a vertex guy, and he said it's a nightmare, and expensive. I'll just run the wires...I want this aluminum transm and not the mag......however, Is 1,050.00 the cheapest it gets for rebuilds? I was quoted this from Vertex, and an extra 700.00 for limited slip.

Skip,

Vertex has the best price I know of, and, yes they don't like to do the electro-to-mechanical speedo switch ... about the same as your limited-slip option, I believe!
