What to top up Tranny with

I had a small leak in my axle seal that I fixed last night and I know that I lost a little Swepco from the tranny.

It has about 1600Miles on the Fluid.

I don't want to order a Gallon and pay to ship it tpo Canada until fall when I changew the fluid.

What can I put in for now.
I probably only need a half a liter to top it up.

Something I can buy in Canada Please.

P-car Shops order it by the drum.....don't you have one local you can go buy a pint/liter from?

I can't comment on tranny fluid compatibility. I would find someone nearby with a leftover quart of Swepco. I have no doubt that there are many 3/4 empty, 1-gallon bottles of Swepco 201 out there in the deep dark recesses of our garages.

if you plan to service in the fall just order a gallon now , top up , seal the lid tight (so you don't spill it) , put it on a shelf and the in october take it down and service tranny accordingly

Don't top it off, or you will blow your main shaft seal, as the oil seeks a way out of confinement. What's the transmission? I believe the rule on the 915 was keep it 1/2 ( or was it one) inch below the fill hole. As Jack Olsen asked, how much did you loose? Fixing something that's not really broken can be a costly experiment...

Caution: Foreign Content.

I would top it up with Canadian Tire 75/90 cheap crap. I can't see it hurting at all.

Other option Syncro shift 2

I used a product from BG called syncro shift2 on my last tranny fluid change and it comes in litres. I found it actually worked slightly better than the sweptco in my 915.
