simple master cylinder question

on a '19 mm' m/c, what does the 19 mm refer to, (vs. the 17 mm)?

my guess - it's the cylinder inner diameter dimension of the bore that the piston travels down?

is there a way to measure it when the m/c is still mounted and connected in the car?

I'm not sure which m/c the 77 930 has, and I've gotten several responses, both say 17 mm, BUT, the system is boosted, AND the pedal is firm after my 930 brake upgrade.

thanks
Bill K

The # is the bore diameter

your '77 w/ vacuum boosted brakes has a 20.6mm m/c

thanks Bill
Is there a larger m/c that I should be looking at - like a 23 point something?
I bought a new one with the brake package (93035501103) and wonder if it's the same as the original? Like I said, I haven't felt the need for any further improvements yet, even after 13 DE sessions at 3 events. Maybe I just haven't been driving hard enough?

Only if you change to the larger '78 up 930 calipers. If you do that then you use the '78 up 23.8mm m/c
