help - 97 compression test

Just the the compression checked on an 87 carrera I am considering. The numbers came back as 160 on all cylinders. I found this a bit perplexing in that I thought it was highly unlikely to have the same compression on all cylinders. The mechanic that performed the PPI and compression is a highly regarded porsche specialist. What do you guys think and is 160 acceptable? I think I read that 130-175 is acceptable?

TIA - michaelw

160 is just dandy. And you want them all as close as possible. Odds are they weren't all exactly 160 but close enough, so he rounded up or down a bit for simplicity. Point is, it checked out OK so don't be paranoid. If there were a problem he would have told you.

Forgot to mention, mine all checked out to almost exactly 155 on all cylinders, so it is possible.
