Dan's 911

Shameless and wholly unwarranted photos of my 1st 911, bought 2 years ago the end of this month and only on the road since april of this year. I've put ~1000 miles on it since.

Got the H4s installed:

Shame about the jacked up front end but I did the brakes and turbo tie rods, then took it for an alignment. It was only after that I realized how easy it is to lower front ride height...but won't I need another alignment after? This winter, I am going to completely go through the suspension.

Like most other things I've done, the 2,2 sticker is off just a bit. Oh well.

Recaro SEs feel a lot better than the stock seats. I drooled over the GTS classics seats but could not justify them. Installed the momo wheel last night. The horn worked during install and now...not so much.

Woke up early and said damn the tranny leak, I'm driving it to work today. Took the longest routes I could think of and turned my 32 mi each-way commute into 100+ miles on the day.

I have put a lot of time and a significant amount of $ (for me, anyway) bringing to where it is now. By next year, the suspension and any other mechanical stuff will be squared away. This forum and pelican in general has been invaluable. Thank you to all who've patiently answered my questions and offered advice over the last couple of years.

Dan

Dan, you don't do yourself justice. The car looks great. I took the same strategy you did today. find every back road I could. Beautiful Friday here in New England!

Nice to see SEs in a 911. I've got a set that will be going into mine one day. How was the mounting process? Can you put up another pic from the front looking at those Recaros?

No problem, going out for the night in about 15 minutes but will take some pics this weekend.

FWIW I bought sliders and brackets from Wedge Engineering. They don't come with instructions and the 1st seat took me a while. The second seat took about 20 minutes start to finish, incl removing the old seat.

In the case of your 911SC, the SC sliders *might* bolt up to the seats. If not, wedge sells the sliders you need...so the install is a bit different as 65-73's require adaptors for the wider stock seats footprint.

Thanks Jason!
