Basic Distributor Questions/Help
I'm trying to adjust the timing on my 67S, but can't get the distributor to budge. I've loosened bolt "A" and and nut "B". It looks like bolt "A" mounts the adjusting bracket to the distributor. Is that right? If that's the case, I shouldn't even need to loosen it, right?
..and what is "C"? Any idea about how to rotate this stuck puppy? ![]()

"C" is for adding oil to lubricate the shaft.
Loosen "A" and rotate the distributor..."B" Does not need to be losened normally, but may need to be if you are having difficulty. If "A" has been overtightened, you may need to pry the split of the clamp apart a bit. IF there is some corrosion between th shaft and the case, then apply some heat to the case using a propane torch.
