MTFR for a good friend

July 18th, Old Country Store, Jackson TN, 10:00.

I'm not sure how many of you ever met David Bailey, but he is a good guy and has been working on a 1968 911 turning it into an RS replica. Well not to long ago David's wife Brin, also a Porsche enthusiast (I know she has a 74 911 and another one I want to say 85-86 Carrera), but not to long ago she was diagnosed with having spinal and brain cancer. It was sudden and no one knew about it until too late. It is past the point where they can operate. She is now wheelchair bound but from David's most recent report driving that wheel chair like a wild woman, and still "fighting like a champ". One thing David thinks she would really like to see is a big group of Porsches come out and just meet, greet and eat.

And I know it is short notice but next weekend Sat. morning July 18, at 10:00 we are planning to have a brunch with as many cars as possible show up (almost an impromptu car show) at The Old Country Store restaurant located in the Casey Jones Village in Jackson TN. Exit 80 off of I-40.

I'll be leading a crew out of Nashville, TN and hitting some backroads along the way if anyone is interested. PM or shoot me an email baker.ryan.m@gmail.com

I'll be sure to charge the camera battery for some pics...

Thanks for posting this Ryan. I'll echo what Ryan said. Brin is a one of a kind and David is the kind of guy that would do anything for you if he was able to. His Pelican ID is BeetleBailey. For those of you in our area, David and I were the one's that started the MTFR. My idea, his enthusiasm.

Not sure if Brin is on here or not, but she might be under LadyBrin. Good people and it is very last minute, but if you don't have anything better to do this Saturday, please come on out to Jackson... you could be like Johnny Cash (sorry if you are not sure what this refers to).

As a side note, the 74 of Brin's is Pat William's old track car that he redid for her. I do not think she ever made it to the track with the car before this hit her.

Hope to see a good last minute turnout if possible.
