Performance Handbook
Got my autographed copy of Bruce's book today. I like what he says about the SC engines. Such as, "Neither of us (he and Bob Grigsby) has ever rebuilt an SC engine because it wore out." He also states that his counterpart Grigsby maintains an SC that has over 400,000 miles and still runs great.

I think SC owners everywhere owe Mr. Anderson a debt of gratitude. He almost singlehandedly made the durability of the SC motor into a legend. It sure helps at resale time.
I know of several fairly high milage examples that have never been opened up. But then again....some people could bust an anvil! Regards, Doug '81 SC Coupe |
