OT: Club Auto Sport Open House Pics (Lots of Porsche content)

I dropped into the open house at Club Auto Sport (an upscale car 'condominium' for car enthusiasts) in San Jose, CA today to check the place out and see some cool cars on display. The event didn't seem too well attended, but there was lots to feast the eyes on. Enjoy!

It's not a dealer. They bill themselves as "A unique commercial condominium car facility and club purpose-built for racing and car enthusiasts." You can find out more about them here.

Check out their web site. It is a really neat place very near the San Jose airport and with easy freeway access. Top notch facility.

One business inside Club Auto Sport is called Club Sportiva. A really cool business that provides access to exotic cars through a membership arrangement. An alternative to ownership. They have a web site so check it out.

The Targa in the picture is not just a nice early 911-- it was a car once owned by Roger Penske, and mentioned in the Mark Donahue book. It was recently featured in Excellence.

It is for sale! A really nice car.

By the way, Club Auto Sport is hosting a unique event at Laguna Seca in September. Unlimited sound club racing-style opportunity for Porsche racers. And there is a PCA Club race at nearby Thunderhill on the adjacent weekend. Travelers can store their rigs at Club Auto Sport for free in the intervening week. See thread in Racing area.
