Question Front Fender Question: 911 vs 930

Hi,

I have a widebody 911 that has steel aftermarket flares on it. The front passenger fender was mounted about 1 inch to 1.5 inches to far back, so I am getting some rubbing with my 17x9 wheels.

My two options to fix this are to bring the car to the body shop during the winter and have him cut off the fender and mount it back in the proper spot then do the body work and repaint.

The other option is for me to buy a used 930 front passenger fender and just have him paint it.

I like the second option but wanted to see if there was any mounting differences from the standard 911 fender.

What do you think?

Buy the front fender, strip paint it and move on. The flares are the same style.
