I miss Tog. Remember the "Sweat Glo" debacle? That guy was f'ing funny! You know that got me thinking. What if I or another board member died? How would we know? I mean if I have a blowout on one of my irresponsible 150+ mph runs and spread my organs across the highway, I doubt my relatives are going to post a eulogy here. That makes me sad to think that we may have already lost some members and don't even know it!

That is true, BRAINIAC.
It would make sense (or am I very sad?) to tell a partner, next of kin, etc. (who hopefully is 'net aquainted) to post something on the BBS. But, hmmm, they wouldn't know the password unless it was stored as a cookie.....No, maybe phone Wayne up and say...no I give up....! ------------------ '75 911S Targa '81 BMW Alpina C1 2.3 |

"The rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerated"
I am here! I Am Here! I AM HERE! I have been working a lot. My car has been running OK. I have been reading many of the posts, it's just that I'm not really qualified to post on many issues. I did just recently replace my entire brake system(master cylinder, brake lines) I did not re-build my calipers which I'm sure Warren will get on to me about. Leland, I have been following the rebuild for the most part but I have been traveling a lot so I'm not really up on the details. I saw that the V8 post is STILL alive and well. I got on this moring to ask a question about a 2.7 list of recommended upgrades during a rebuild and saw your post. I am here and will always be here! (registered sniper) |

There's my man!
Wouldn't you know that the one time I finally ask where you are, you go and post a new topic the same day... Glad to hear that you and the car are doing fine. I too have wondered from time to time what would happen if one of us passed away, croked or got abducted by martians or Islamic militants. Guess I better go update my will! Not that I have a dangerous job or anything ![]() |

One of the things that I have noticed with near-fright is the number of folks hovering out there, rarely posting. They way we know you're there is if a really irresistable topic explodes, there is a feeding frenzy and in minutes a topic can have dozens of replies from "Junior Members" who I do not recognize.

Most people hover because they are trying to learn and don't have enough knowledge to post, or they are too afraid of being wrong. Hell, I say post and if you are wrong you will be corrected. Isn't that how we all started the journey towards having knowledge? Like the thought I have of a little kid wanting to touch the stove, but the parents tell him not to because it is hot. Kid keeps insisting he wants to touch it...so let him and find out it is really hot and you weren't kidding! Haha, that is a little extreme, but anyway, I am rambling.
Later guys, Paul |

Leland,
Those are the two reasons we have a concealed carry law in The Great State of Texas. And don't forget the law that allows us to carry in case of foreign invasion or Indian attack (unfortunately my wife is the better shot so the second one does me no good). And sailor, come on down, we have those parades in Houston, too. David '83 SC Targa (Complete with two broken head studs) |
