993 brakes
This is my first time changing a set 993 front brakes. Is it common for the pads to have a really tight fit. I have to force them in. I check the pads they are exactly 132 MM wide. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The stock ones have "spiders" that dampen the noise. The spiders actually "fit in" the cylinders and make them a tight fit. Sometimes you have to remove the caliper to change the pads - if it has stock pads. PITA

he ss pad holders can get a buildup of mung & corrosion behind them, this reduces the room for the pads to expand them to fit.
The cure is to remove the ss holders and clean behind them
