Which tire is better ?

Anyone having experience with Yokohama Advan A052 and or Advan Neova A08RS on a 911 G-model ?
From what I have found on the internet the A052 is slightly lighter than the A08RS. So the A052 will be a better choice in regards to less rotational and unsprung weight.

Thinking of replacing my current setup: Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 N0 with one of the above ones.

Yoko A008P... light and recommended. I have a new set being installed on 16x7 & 16x9 Fuchs Evo's..., Ti Lugnuts and caps. Courtesy of Famoroso's recommendation! Currently Kinesis F19 19" wheels wearing Proxes 315x35x19 on rears. Fronts Nitto NT555 G2 235/35ZR-19. About 17 lbs per wheel/tire weight savings....

Yoko A08 . Great tire with stiff side walls . Highly recommended. Had them on my 996 until they wore out. Will be buying a set for my 16x7 and 16x9 Euromeisters soon.

the oo8 has a stickier compound but isn't available in the desirable 205/50 & 225/45 sizes for use on 7 & 8

the 052 though slightly less sticky is a very formidable performance tire which is available in most 911 sizes

w/ 7 & x8 x16 I'd want the A052s

I put the AO52’s (205-55-16 and 225-50-16) on my 84 Targa several months ago - am very pleased with the tires and would recommend them.

Definitely sticky and responsive. Was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the tires are… at higher speeds….like 85-90 MPH….wasn’t expecting that.

Regards,
JT

I have Yokohama Neova 008’s on my turbo as summer tires. I will say there is a warning about use, or for that matter storage, in cold weather. The warning is described on the Tirerack site. There have been instances of the sidewall cracking if they experience an impact during the cold. I had a long talk with a long time Yokohama factory engineer on this issue. It has to do with the chemical composition used. I swap mine off and store them inside before cold weather sets in so it’s not an issue for me. The A008 P tires are great tires as well in my opinion. I’ve used them on my SC since the late 80’s/ early 90’s.
