Which carpet material?

I am redoing the interior of my 86 cab and want to know which carpet type to go with.. and why!
The choices seem to be Domestic Cut-Pile and Sliverknit.
Any reason why Sliverknit is pricier? Is it better for a cab that is driven a lot with the top down?

The oem carpet is sliverknit, if you want to replace all the carpet in the car go w/ what ever you like, if you are only replacing some of the carpet you will need sliverknit to match
