brake light switch?
I notice yesterday that my brake lights are not working. is the switch mounting on the mastercylinder? I assume 1 of the switches on the MC are brake lights and the other is for the brake warning light however do not see this avialable as a sepereate part any thoughts?

replace both - yes, on the master cylinder - they are a known weak point.

If you have a buddy hold the brake pedal down while you change them, you don't need to bleed the brakes when done.
Have them just put pressure on the pedal, you then take out the old, install the new and then they let off of the pedal. DO NOT let them push it to the floor!! Just a firm pressure is all that is needed.

Wayne---don't want to start anything but I wouldn't put any pressure on the brake as this would cause fluid to squirt out while you disconnect the lines. When I did mine which took about 10 minutes once I removed the brake lines they weeped just a tad. With that I knew that no air was entering the system. Once finished I didn't even have to bleed the system.

emac-no problem.
Everyone has a way to get a job done that works for them. My wife helped me and it worked out great. Just some dribbles from the sockets in between changes on the switches.
