Seattle PCA/John Walker Swap Meet Aug 1st.
the annual john walker's workshop/pca/pnwr swap meet is saturday, august 1st. (someone resurrected a 5 year old post recently that said aug 11th, which is not correct).
the time is 8am to 1 pm. the location is the phinney neighborhood association lower parking lot, which is 1/2 block east of N67th st and phinney ave N, in north seattle. the address is 6532 phinney ave n, seattle, wa, 98103. take the N85th st exit off of I-5, go west on N85th st to aurora ave n, go south on aurora to N67th st, go west 3 1/2 blocks. there is no charge to sell or to shop. this is the one time each year that you can clean the extra stuff out of your garage and get some money back to buy new stuff. the more vendors the better. body parts, interior, wheels, etc, etc. it's all there. here's a link to the event from the PCA/PNWR website: http://www.pnwr.org/calendar07/display.asp?EventID=1806&CalendarID=4&StyleID=2&thisMonth=8&thisDay=1&thisYear=2009&Window=Same (there are more directions on this link at the bottom). any questions, call me 206 789 6800

Maybe the last remnants of my parts car will go away.
Sometimes I end up taking more home with me than I brought. That is NOT the goal. ....But it is always fun! |

I'm thinking we should go... Our collection of Porsche bits is growing... Set of Boxster seats, set of 911 power seats and an old set of seats (early car). Old metal air cleaner for carbs etc.,
Looks like we're driving the Ford truck up - LOL! See ya all there! *p.s. - for heaven's sake you guys DONT let my husband buy anything! ![]() angela

Hey.....Ive got a great idea. Why don't we post our "want lists" here prior to the swap meet. That way, vendors (like myself) can bring the stuff that guys want. I have approximately a WHOLE 911 I could bring, but there isn't room in my pickup. I've got an engine, transmission, complete suspension, blah blah. Stock SC torsion bars and stock Turbo rear torsion bars. Sways. Two complete A/C systems (yeah, like someone needs that!). I've got a fancy steering wheel also available (perhaps Momo, just haven't decided which one to sell).
So anyhoo........I'm parting a car out and I don't want to mail anything if I don't have to. Let me know what you need and I'll bring it.

I'm looking for adjustable spring plates in good shape to fit a 72.

I have stock spring plates from an SC. Stock parts are going to be easier to find used than aftermarket parts. For example, it is virtually impossible to find a cheap set of torsion bars. Everybody wants them and when used ones are for sale, the price is close to the new price. So......Weltmeister adjustable spring plates are going to be hard to find used. Stock ones, like I have, are not so hard to find.

I put some pics of some stuff we are definately bringing and stuff we "might" bring if anyone is interested. Posted in the parts section.
Superman - if you have a 3.0 from that car I may be very interested. We've got another project cooking... angela

The Blue Angels are performing 12:45 - 2:45 on Sat, the 1st also. I usually watch them from Madrona park since they setup their turns and runs from the North around this point. Anyone interested in driving over after the swap meet? I will probably bring my subaru wagon with my friend for the parts I want to sell / buy and bring my 911 for the drive to watch the Blues and back. Scott
