930 brake rotors Thickness?
Have a set of existing brake rotors I would like to turn down. Require a little information looking for the thickness tolerance for machining brake rotors for a 1979 930. Bentley does list. Info would be appreciated.

can you have them ground as opposed to turned - this would ensure them being flat? The minimum thickness is printed right on the rotor.
I had a hard time finding someone to grind them as opposed to turning. Doug

These should be Blanchard ground, never turned on a brake lathe.

front 32mm new 30.6mm symmetrically machined from both sides
rear 28mm new 26.6mm symmetrically machined from both sides I agree w/ Steve ground is the only way to go, it leaves a nice swirly finish that promotes pad bedding
