930 brake rotors Thickness?

Have a set of existing brake rotors I would like to turn down. Require a little information looking for the thickness tolerance for machining brake rotors for a 1979 930. Bentley does list. Info would be appreciated.

can you have them ground as opposed to turned - this would ensure them being flat? The minimum thickness is printed right on the rotor.

I had a hard time finding someone to grind them as opposed to turning.

Assuming you are referring to front rotors, these are 32mm thick and must be replaced when they are 30mm thick.

These should be Blanchard ground, never turned on a brake lathe.

front 32mm new 30.6mm symmetrically machined from both sides

rear 28mm new 26.6mm symmetrically machined from both sides

I agree w/ Steve ground is the only way to go, it leaves a nice swirly finish that promotes pad bedding
