need dizzy expert
after learning that the aluminium dizzy and the cast steel dizzy have rotor and cap that do not interchange , i have an even deeper mystery ,, i have 2 dizzy both have the 0231 121 005 but the markings are different
1 has marking on the tag that says made in germany and on the body near the connector there is a marking that say ( 5 degree v OT) written vertically the other has a tag that says germany then under ( importe d allemagne) in french but there is no marking near the connector its for an original 914-6 , which one is better and why thanks in advance |
I'm no expert but what engine is involved?
|
dizzy
its for an original 914-6 engine , rebuilt to factory spec 100% original , and once you recomend , i would really like to know why one or the other and what the difference between the two
|
maybe start with researching the ignition curve of each until you sort out the housing?
also maybe the carb engine dizzy came with a vacuum advance or no vacuum pot and the fuel injection came with a vacuum retard? |
dizzy
guys read the info before replying
the advance curve , I have it and its the closest you get to an original-6 the advance curve again , its the same part# , therefore the same curve both have a centifugal avance , again same part number why is the marking different, one in english the other in french and what does the 5 degree vOT means, i know about TDC but v OT, on the english label one i would try them both , but in a -6 its a big B to swap unless you are some sort of 4 arm troll!!!!!! |
