Someone might find this idea useful. Just remove the ashtray and shape a piece of aluminum to support the padded ashtray cover. I use the space for switches which control a fan and an extra oil pressure light. From any normal position inside the car, everything looks just like stock.

I havn't seen anyone use a 3 gauge mount in place of the din mount radio??? I had one in an old Scirocco I had. It worked great and looked like it belonged there.

How do you guys like those deep dish steering wheels? I'm tall am am thinking of getting one... Mod 07 was the one I was looking at.

Also, when using the Rennline type floor boards, do just install the carpet behind them?

Great thread!

I love my Mod 7 but I'm only 5' 8". I think it's perfect with my Hargett shifter.

I have one, but that horn button cover/pad is new to me!

Momo offered the pad for the center of the Porsche Design (pd) steering wheel to address the safety issue. I've seen a couple, but don't have one on my wheel.

They came with a pd horn button, but the momo porsche crest button fits, too.

This is what I did when I realized that I wouldn't get the ashtray I had bought from a certain individual and I think it turned out well don't have a closeup but you get the idea. I mounted my sat receiver there with a piece of leather covered wood to hide the mount.

Ok, how did you mount your Sirius? I have my "suction cupped" into the shifter console, but I would much prefer this. The darned suction cup comes off once a trip, leaving me to fish down by the shifter to change channels...

Yeah all momo, sparco, etc horn buttons fit. I figured that the pad was a safety thing, and most were removed.

I used double sided tape stuck to the where the ashtray would go turned out to be a fairly clean install.
