FYI, I just noticed that on one thread I revisited--"replacing fuse block''--a number of previous replies had disappeared.

I hope Wayne doesn't turn it back on. I didn't like it.

I was just about to post that all was working well, but I just got the dreaded, "Data base error" message. Time: 9:01 pdt.

In addition, I think you lost some posts in various threads.

That's my fault. The forums are now running on the backup database server, and I have that server set to shutdown and defragment itself at 9AM every day. I forgot to turn that off last night. Not the same issue as before (*whew*).

I'm pretty sure this is a hardware intermittent failure issue. It's now been running all night on the other server with no corruption problems. Trouble is, I now have one server doing the work that was previously done by two, so the forums will be slow until I can fix this problem permanently.

Wayne, thanks for the email reply. I did try last night, but you were still having problems. I gave up and watched some movies... The shakes were getting pretty bad there for a while though.

Dave, I may call you over the next few days - you're a MySQL expert, right? This problem has taxed all of my available brain cells.

Although, the "backup" configuration I'm using right now (running the database on only one machine instead of two) ironically seems to be working as well or better than the previous configuration. Weird.
