That is fine...

With all that cranking, if you can (not sure if you have taken a spark plug yet and don't feel bad because I'm not sure if I would do it myself...), take a look a one of the plug to see if its wet?
No iv not taken any plugs out to be honest, that looks like a job on it's own

Don't go down a road it you dont fell comfortable doing it... it could generate more problem, ie cross tread a spark plug.

So, after all that cranking, does it smell gas?

Porsche Crest In the mean while...

I would do as per ischmits recommendation listed below. You confirm the battery is good.

My first problem posting was something similar... 12 Volt Missing at the Coil.
I had check the fuses and so on. Finally got the car going by putting 12 volts directly to the coil (do not try that as it could have unknown side effect even though I did not seem to suffer any but I had the car for less than a month so I would not know any better) . Maybe some Pelican can comment on this.

Anyway... a fuse that check ok in the fuse holder (engine compartment) turn out to be physically broken, so it test ok in the the fuse holder but as soon as the engine was cranking I lost the 12 volt. I suggest that (maybe you already did that) to check all the fuses (trunk & engine compartment) one by one; remove, visually check it, test it with ohm meter, clean the holder and replace.

Maybe you already did this... Did you unplug a spark plug wire an plug a spare spark pug, ground it to the body and see if the is a spark when it's crank (yes you need 2 people and a dark space to make it easier on you).

If you have not done this yet, do the fuses check, and the ground strap first than the the "external" spark plug test.

If you don't have a spare spark plug, buy one as you should carry one in the car for this purpose... along with the usual DME relay, fuse, fan belt and the likes.

Hello Everyone,

Iv not done any testing yet till Saturday morning that's when my sparky friend is coming up for a cup of t and to have another go at getting it sorted.

Iv spoke to the guys who fixed my ECU and they now recon it's eaither HT leads in wrong order or rotor arm .... my other friend replaced the rotor arm so that rules that out.

If someone is feeling kind any chance of a picture of the dizzy with the leads numbered to the spark plugs please ....... so kindly

And spoke to other folk and they say weak battery and the 911 has been standing too long, oil is making it hard to turn over.

Hello Everyone,

Right a update for everyone.

Yesterday morning i had Derrick round again looking into this non start issue and after getting the ecu back from the doctor and getting some more advice from him and that great bloke Derrick on the job we got her started.

So in the end i replaced.

Battery.
Both Flywheel Sensors
DME Relays
Coil
Rotor Arm
Dizzy Cap
ECU Repaired
Fuses Repalced

And found it was a friend of a friend who took the rotor arm off pulled a little too hard and moved the dizzy and put the plugs a step out,so Derrick sorted that and now running as sweet as a nut ........

Think i did not help getting a number of people working on the car,all doing there bit then with Derrick having to back track all of it was not good ..... next time ill just stick to the same person DERRICK.

Right here we go again

Thought id go start the 911 up let it run for a little bit then move out the garage turn round and put back in ...... but no engine runs sweet all oil pressures ok etc but when go to select a gear it a no go ... you can play a tune on it now .... think the clutch release bears has got stuck turned off and shut the garage door again
