red hose
Can't seem to find a listing for the red hoses on rear of H/exchangers. Anyone know where to find them or a substitute? Can't seem to find them in Pelican catalogues

It sounds like you are referring to the short sections of red/orange hose found on the 3.2 Carrera. They are: 930.211.339.01, "Exhaust Rubber Sleeve".

Not "sact," "SCAT." There's CAT, the cheapest and least durable or temperature-stable. There's SCAT, which is better and temperature-rated, and there's a third variety--can't remember what it's called, since my airplane wasn't pressurized and I didn't need it--that's double-walled and used for serious high-temp applications. If you really want to go high-tech to the max, that's your babe.

$27.50 a foot? Well, I guess it's "authentic." Or should I say OEM and re-open a recent thread?

You can buy any length you want if you shop at an aircraft-parts store.

hose
The hose I needed was for my '86 carrera and KNS knew it as Part no. 93021133901. It's 2 pcs about 4 inches each at the back of the exchangers near muffler. Fairly heavy and solid with no steel windings. Altho maybe that type would work also. I think the aircraft type is used on the forward part of the heating system (at the blower boxes)? Right?

yellowperil,
The part number I gave you was correct for what you're looking for. The other hose being referred to is for 1983 and earlier or if you wanted to back-date your heat. You didn't say what year car you had originally and I think that threw everybody off. Also located at the forward part of the HEs to the cabin as you mention. I'm not sure of the diameter of 930.211.339.01 but the other hose may work as well (I've have not seen the SCAT stuff used there...yet).
