Hey Guys,
![]() My "new" engine is on its way (3.0 from a 81). My P-car came with no brain. Don't know what month and year my car is (color change, sticker missing). Do have the VIN thankfully. What brain do I need, from what years it will work for me? I should count the pins on the connector, too... What CDI box will I need, 3 or 6 pin? Oh yeah, injectors did they change in the SCs throughout the run? Thanks a lot!!! ![]() Gene |

The lambda control (brain) has 2 possibilities, a 6 pin and a 12 pin connector to the controls under the passangers seat. If it was in the car you would have to match the chassis but you ll have to buy what ever the pin count is on the engine. If you cant find exactly what you need simply get a complete harness for the engine and chassis and it will work.
There is 2 wires running to the fuse board in the front, they both need 12 volts to run the system. All 3.0 engines take a 6 pin CD except the 78/77 euro 3.0 which uses a 3 pin. All injectors for CIS are the same Bruce |
