Checking early EFI
How can you trouble shoot early EFI? I mean from a scanner standpoint to look into the computer and see what is going.
I know it is easy to get a scanner for post 1996 OBD II cars, but what is available for say an 84 EFI Porsche system? Is there a Bosch scanner or instrument? Or is there an aftermarket computer interface that can be used? Is the only option to test the sensors?

No OBD anything on the '84, so nothing to scan. Simple, stupid and unsophisticated...ain't it great?

If not OBD, did Bosch have anything? What does the shop manual say? Anyone?
