need help with 911-964 tail light wiring

title says it all i have 964 tail lights , i need to connect it to the 82 sc wiring anyone know the color codes for each, kevin

Color codes for the '82 are the same as for the '78, there are drawings here:

Google cannell 911 for PDF manual for the 964.
Odds are they are the same, Porsche was fairly consistent over the years on their harnesses. Connectors are another story....

Do you know how to use an ohmmeter?
There are only 4 circuits in each housing to trace, should be similar right and left.
I'm assuming you have the 964 lights out and accessible.
Trace the Reverse wires from housing socket to connector, then do the same for turn signal wire, running lights and brake light. Make a chart/drawing and do the same in comparison to the '82 wiring.
Post what you find out for others who may need it someday!
