Thanks Gogar, it looks much cleaner without that old junky connector.

Halm 09-21-2009 06:36 PM

Ok, one last question, I promise! :D

When you cut the old connector off, how many wires are inside the green insulation? If more than one wire is there, which one did you connect?

Gogar 09-21-2009 06:39 PM

The green wire is just one wire.

Louie85 09-21-2009 06:46 PM

I use the center wire. strip the shielding far enough about 1 in. cut the shielding and strip the center wire, crimp the electrical connector, finished it with some heat shrink.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1253587390.jpg

Louie,
The connector looks great and was very easy to install. Kudos to you for coming up with a very economical and well made fix. Thanks, Phil

Are you still making these O2 connectors?

Hi there- I know that its been a long time but are these still available and have you heard about how well they worked? I would be interested in a couple. Did Pelican ever pick them up?

Thanx
Much

I purchased one recently from Louie. Louie was very kind and delivery was prompt (took some time to get it over to Germany). It works perfectly. If function is what you're after this is the way to go. However, it is not concourse correct.

O2 sensor part

Hi Louie; Thank you for answering. I would like to buy one of these in case mine fails. I managed to JB weld it back together but it feels temporary. What is the email or address where I can send a paypal to you if you take that. Question; is the electrical connection the only issue here or is O2 somehow drawn in also? Why all the fancy shielding around these things---its a mystery to me! Again thanks. Also I think I know why so many of these things are broken. I pulled mine off thinking it was like a sparkplug from underneath. This probably pulled the plug down and cracked it.

Louie: You've got a PM from me!

I had the chugging problem crop up on my 85 3.2 Carrera. I did the usual plug wires, plugs and cleaned all electrical connections. All was fine for a few days and the problem returned. Pulled over and stared at the motor running on what seemed to be four cyliders and decided to pull on the O2 connector. Car cleared up. Pushed on the connector and the chugging was back. Needless to say I am interested in purchasing your connector. I will PM you.
